Kingisepp UFOs
Among the numerous cases of UFO incidents with Russian military pilots, a case that occurred in the late 1990s in the sky near the city of Kingisepp, Leningrad region, is of particular interest. This is how the famous Russian ufologist V. Azhazha describes it in his book "Caution: Flying Saucers!":
"On July 12, 1999, during a night bombing training at the Kingisepp training ground (Leningrad region) observers at the control tower noticed an unidentified flying object moving through the territory of the landfill from east to west. The object suddenly hovered over the territory of the landfill and, with a beam of unknown nature, highlighted a training target recently hit by a MiG-27 fighter-bomber.
The observation tower contacted the pilot of the aircraft, who had just fired a cannon at a target, and warned that there was an unidentified flying object in the flight zone, and also recommended maximum caution. The pilot confirmed the receipt of the order, made a sharp U-turn, and went to approach the motionless disk-shaped object.
After a few seconds, all the electronics on the MIG failed and radio communication was lost. The pilot turned the plane back with difficulty and headed for the airfield using ground landmarks. The UFO stopped generating light a minute later and, quickly gaining speed, flew away in a westerly direction..."
The actions taken by the UFO during the incident not only clearly indicate its technogenic nature but also clearly reasonable actions. Of course, this is not a "natural phenomenon" or a "satellite launch", but very much resembles a reconnaissance probe studying the results of firing or searching for something. But who exactly owned this intelligence apparatus - the question remains open. All this clearly does not resemble the known terrestrial technologies.
