History of the Soviet Naval Intelligence Investigation of Anomalous Phenomena

History of the study of anomalous phenomena by the Soviet Navy intelligence

In the post-war years, military and civilian sailors of various countries visually, as well as with the help of technical means, increasingly recorded anomalous phenomena (AP) and mysterious objects - both in the depths of the World Ocean and at the junction of the hydro-and atmosphere.

These include:

  • floating and/or hovering over the water glowing balls;
  • moving light spots, circles, and luminous rotating "wheels" on the surface of the water;
  • "searchlights" and "pillars of light" shooting from the depths and moving in the water";
  • objects of unknown origin flying out of the water and sinking into the water;
  • unidentified submerged object (USO) moving at speeds significantly higher than the speed of the most modern submarines;
  • underwater objects that in a short time dive to depths inaccessible to submarines and float from there to the surface;
  • USOs, mechanically acting on the immersed in the depth of technology and marine vessels;
  • massive underwater objects of unknown origin that remotely affect the functioning of equipment and weapons;
  • acoustic and radio emissions of unknown origin coming from the depths of the world ocean;
  • unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that appear in areas where naval forces and assets are concentrated.

The presence of phenomena and objects whose unusual properties cannot be explained by known physical laws, as well as the impression of the reasonableness of their actions, causes concern to the military-political leadership of any country. In addition, UFOs and USOs often demonstrate obvious invulnerability to all types of modern weapons.

In turn, their actions sometimes lead to the defeat of people and the failure of equipment. This raises a sense of concern and natural interest on the part of special services, in particular, the intelligence of the naval forces, which have to deal with anomalous phenomena in extreme conditions.

Understanding the nature of unidentified objects is also important. On the one hand, a likely enemy may develop new weapons systems that may look like unidentified flying objects. On the other hand, true unidentified objects can be unknowingly mistaken for reconnaissance or strike means of a potential enemy, which can lead to difficult-to-predict consequences.

There is also a need to study the mechanisms of the impact of UFOs and USOs on living organisms and technical means in order to develop practical recommendations. All this explains why such anomalous phenomena are in the field of close attention of the special services around the world.

Historical background

September 16, 1951. The USA. The Joint Chiefs of Staff issued a secret directive "JANAP-146b" on measures to prevent an armed attack on the United States, which ordered to immediately report on military communication channels about the appearance of unknown submarines, warships, UFOs, and aircraft. Moreover, for disclosing this data in the press, on radio, or television, the servicemen were threatened with a fine of $10,000 and a prison sentence of up to 10 years. In the instructions for the US Navy, prescribing the procedure for behavior in the event of detection of USOs and UFOs, an image of an aircraft of a strange shape is shown

August 1953 the United States. The Air Force Headquarters issued a number of secret documents specifically on UFOs, including the secret instruction "AFR N 200-2", according to which UFO research was concentrated in three organizations: the Air Force Intelligence Agency at the Pentagon; the 4602nd Scientific Support Squadron; the Air Force Science and Technology Center at Wright-Patterson Base.

March 1954 the USA. The directive "JANAP-146" is reissued with the index "c". Now it states that data on all unknown objects, including UFOs, should be transmitted as messages of the highest importance. For observations in the air, the symbol "CIRVIS" should be placed at the beginning of the report, for observations at sea - the index "MERINT". It is particularly emphasized that the disclosure of the content of reports is punishable by the espionage law. The annex to the Directive provides an example of a radiotelegraph message about a UFO: "MERINT 5125 N14 230. 3 unidentified flying objects heading north-west, altitude 17,000 feet, cigar shape 50 feet, 2 miles away. Checked by the navigator, visibility is unlimited. 211 513 Jones."

July 1959. The US Navy Headquarters issues the Instruction "OPNAV...- 94-r-Z", according to which the captains of merchant and fishing vessels were ordered, as well as the military, to transmit immediate reports by radio with the code group of letters "MERINT" about the approach of unknown missiles, UFOs, ships, submarines and aircraft to the American continent. The appendix to the Instructions contains images of a disc-shaped and oblong UFO. To speed up the identification of UFOs, most American warships have images of the main types of UFOs. The handbook of American air defense also contains an image of a UFO in the form of a disk with lights.

A fragment of the US Navy's 1959 Instructions for action in the event of a UFO sighting.

1959. The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of NATO, American General Norsted, orders all air Force units of the countries that are members of NATO to closely monitor UFOs, if possible, photograph them, and carry out radar wiring.

January 1961 the Soviet Union. The newspaper "Pravda" furiously attacks the "irresponsible persons" who act with the propaganda of UFOs.

1964. In the French Air Force, an order was issued, according to which all data on UFO sightings was ordered to be transferred to a special bureau (since 1977 - the Group for the Study of Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena ).

March 1966 the United States. The Joint Chiefs of Staff issued the fifth version of the directive "JANAP-146" with the index "e", which states that UFOs should be considered among enemy targets. Details of the data that should be contained in each report on UFO sightings are listed in detail.

1966. A specialist of the UN Information Department, a US citizen, K. von Kevitsky, provides the Secretary General of the United Nations, Wu Tan, with a memorandum on the need for an international study of the UFO problem. After two weeks on the initiative of the administration of President Johnson Keviczky withdrawn from the UN. Cefixim set out the background facts are concerned, U Thant. He states: "I believe that after the Vietnam War, the most serious problem facing the UN is the UFO problem."

1967, USSR. After numerous statements by the Aeroflot flight crew about meetings with UFOs, the Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, E. F. Loginov, instructs: to report on each such meeting.

May 1967. In Moscow, at a meeting of the initiative group in the Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics named after Frunze, an attempt was made to organize the study of UFOs on a voluntary basis. The head of the topic was elected Major General of Aviation, retired P. Stolyarov, and the deputy-associate professor of MAI F. Ziegel.

On 10 November 1967 of the USSR. P. Stolyarov and F. Siegel appeared on Central Television with an appeal to the public to report UFO sightings. After this appeal, the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines received hundreds of reports from the population about UFO sightings in various parts of our country. In the same month, the DOSAAF Central Committee adopted a resolution on the dissolution of the department for the study of UFOs, and in December, the Department of General Physics and Astronomy (OOFA) of the USSR Academy of Sciences, headed by Academician L. A. Artsimovich, issued a decision condemning the study of UFOs in the USSR, declaring it an anti-scientific sensation.

February 1968 In "Pravda" there is a devastating article under the heading "Flying saucers again", in which the UFO problem is called "a myth and speculation", and people who take it seriously are declared "ignorant of science". In response to this publication, a group of teachers and researchers of the Zhukovsky Air Force Academy writes a collective letter emphasizing the importance of studying UFOs for the defense of our country. At the same time, 13 leading aircraft designers and engineers address the Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers, A. N. Kosygin with a proposal to create in our country a special organization for the study of UFOs. In March 1968, they received the answer signed by the head of NTS MIC academician A. N. Shchukin: "the question of the nature of the so-called flying objects was discussed with the involvement of several competent organizations of the Presidium of the USSR, Main administration of hydrometeorological service, Ministry of defense… Currently, organizations engaged in the study of the atmosphere and space are instructed to register and study the occurrence of unknown flying objects in order to identify them. The general observation of this is carried out by the USSR Academy of Sciences, and there is no need to create any special organization for the study of UFOs."

1968 F. Ziegel with a small group of enthusiasts publishes the first handwritten collection "UFO Sightings in the USSR".

1971. In the Agreement between the United States and the USSR "On measures to reduce the risk of a world nuclear war", article 3 prescribes the exchange of information on UFOs between the parties and its non-proliferation to other countries.

In 1975-1976. Under the leadership of F. Ziegel, the MAI carried out an open state-funded research project dedicated to the preliminary study of the UFO phenomenon based on more than 500 observations of these objects in the USSR. During 1976, Ziegel made reports on UFOs at the Institute of Space Research of the USSR Academy of Sciences and other leading institutes and organizations.

April 1976. The topic "Hydro-aspect of the UFO problem" was first voiced at the Russian Geographical Society (RGS) in Leningrad at the conference "Underwater Technology in the National Economy" in the speeches of V. G. Azhazha and F. Y. Ziegel.

1976. Recalls a former employee of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the USSR Navy:

Our Department received information that the Americans pay very much attention to unidentified flying objects. But we ourselves did not have specific information on these issues until 1976 when several officers of our Department witnessed a UFO flight that maneuvered both horizontally and vertically.

This fact was reported to the head of the Department and was the impetus for the organization of monitoring of such phenomena. It was decided to start systematizing and accumulating information on UFOs.

After some time, the flow of this information from the fleets became very intense, and it was decided to create a working group that would deal with the systematization and analysis of the information received. The special analytical group created in the General Staff of the Navy was headed by a deputy. Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral of the Fleet N. I. Smirnov.

The group included officers of our Department, officers of the scientific and technical committee, scientists of research institutes, who were engaged in the analysis of all this information.

The work of the group was confidential, and the information was reported weekly to the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. The summary information was reported to the General Intelligence Directorate.

1976. USSR. At the request of the General Staff of the Navy, the Oceanographic Commission under the USSR Academy of Sciences begins a systematic collection of information about UFOs and AP in the World Ocean.

November 1976 The first report "The underwater aspect of the UFO problem" is made by the Deputy Chairman of the Underwater Research Section in the Oceanographic Commission of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Technical Sciences Azhazha V. G:

In November 1976, the Underwater research section unanimously decided to open the topic "Hydrosphere aspect of the UFO problem" and assign me to be its head. Thus, in the bowels of the USSR Academy of Sciences, scientific research on this complex and important topic was launched.

November 1976 In the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" there is an article under the title "Technology of myth", in which the whole problem of UFOs is declared a myth. After this article, a new "anti-drone" campaign was launched in the press, and work on the study of UFOs at the MAI was discontinued.

December 1976 At the suggestion of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the Navy, the Oceanographic Commission under the USSR Academy of Sciences opens the research project "Hydrosphere aspect of the UFO problem". Candidate of Technical Sciences V. G. Azhazha was appointed scientific director of the Research Institute.

July 15, 1977, The intelligence Directorate of the General staff of the Navy Oceanographic Commission of the USSR transmitted the results of the first research stage "Hydrospheric aspect of the UFO problem" - "Methodical instructions on organization of the Navy observations of anomalous physical phenomena and their impact on the environment, living organisms and technical means".

Anomalous physical phenomena or objects (not identified with known phenomena or objects) are observed in our country and abroad by both casual observers and professional specialists: astronomers, aircraft crews, ships, and observation services for various purposes... In a number of reliable cases, the observed phenomena have not yet received an acceptable explanation. The available information generally suggests that this problem deserves serious research and is directly related to the tasks of further study, development and practical use of the Earth's atmosphere and outer space.

These Guidelines stated

The instructions also gave brief characteristics of anomalous phenomena and objects and indicated that " their occurrence and development are characterized by changes in geometric shape, movement along different trajectories, maneuverability, light effects, the presence of electromagnetic fields and, possibly, some other types of radiation affecting the environment, living organisms, electrical, radio engineering, and other devices."

In 1977, at the meeting of the UN Special Political Committee at the 32nd session of the UN General Assembly, the issue of "Establishing an International Agency or Department for the study of UFOs" is considered at the initiative of the Caribbean countries.

They (i.e. UFOs) fly out of the water next to our ships, circle around them underwater, interfere with safe navigation… I saw a flying saucer myself and was amazed by what I saw.

Speaking at the session, the Prime Minister of Grenada, Erich Geire, said

After studying the problem, the UN special political committee recommended that the General Assembly invite all countries to join efforts to study the plates. But that didn't happen. The US blocked the initiative. A telegram from the US State Department has been preserved, which instructs the American representative to the UN, Young, to prevent the adoption of the resolution proposed by Geira. At the same time, the secretary of the American delegation to the UN, Feigel, handed the Prime Minister of Grenada a confidential message from President Carter, in which he strongly advised against the requirements of international UFO research. As a result of active opposition from the United States, Grenada was forced to withdraw its draft, and the UN resolution on this issue in 1977 was limited only to calling on all states to " discuss with the UN Secretary-General their views on the UFO problem.

By the second half of the 1970s, a large number of reports from fleets and flotillas, as well as foreign data on UFO sightings, were accumulated in the dossier of the Soviet Navy's Intelligence Department. There is a need to develop a methodology for observing UFOs at sea in order to further classify these phenomena and develop recommendations for naval units and formations on how to deal with them.

1977. The beginning of the official study of the UFO problem by the Ministry of Defense and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The decisive impetus for this decision was the so-called "Petrozavodsk phenomenon". On September 20, 1977, at the end of the night, numerous residents of the northwestern region of the USSR observed the development of an unusual large-scale light phenomenon for several minutes. It was impossible to ignore or simply dismiss such an indisputable event. President of the USSR Academy of Sciences Academician A. P. Alexandrov sends a letter to the Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time to the chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC) L. V. Smirnov. It states that "the Academy of Sciences of the USSR can no longer ignore, nor can it explain, anomalous phenomena similar to what was observed in September 1977 in Petrozavodsk, and therefore requests to organize comprehensive studies of anomalous phenomena with the involvement of organizations of the Ministry of Defense and the Military-Industrial Complex" ["Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences", No. 6, 2000].

October 1977 At the meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council (NTS) The proposal of the President of the USSR Academy of Sciences was supported. It is noted that information about observations of unusual phenomena, sometimes disrupting the operation of military equipment, is also received from military personnel in various organizations of the Ministry of Defense. On the recommendation of the NTS, when the current five-year plan for defense research is adjusted in the near future, the Military-Industrial Complex includes two topics for the study of anomalous phenomena with a deadline of 1978-1980.:
- "Setka MO" - study of anomalous atmospheric and space phenomena and their impact on the functioning of military equipment and the state of personnel (Ministry of Defense);
- "Setka AN" - research of the physical nature and mechanisms of development of anomalous atmospheric and space phenomena (Academy of Sciences).

Thus, the decision of the military-Industrial Complex in the country actually created two centers for UFO research - in the Ministry of Defense and in the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. One of the main goals of the Ministry of Defense was to find out the possible impact of UFOs on the functioning of equipment and the condition of personnel. The main task of the USSR Academy of Sciences is to study the physical nature of anomalous phenomena, i.e., to model the processes of occurrence, visual manifestation and disappearance of effects, their connection with physical conditions in the environment, and possible anthropogenic impact on nature.

In October 1977. At the initiative of the commander of the Northern fleet Admiral V. N. Chernavina "Methodical instructions ...", developed in the section of undersea research Oceanographic Commission of the USSR V. G. Azhazha introduced in the Northern fleet.

In the intelligence department of the Navy, Vice Admiral Yu. V. Ivanov had developed our "Guidelines..." on UFO surveillance, prepared for implementation in all fleets and flotillas of the USSR Navy. But they were in no hurry to implement them, because the very story that the navy is implementing instructions for observing flying saucers, it somehow did not fit with the general political concept, with a political view of this problem

N. I. Smirnov, Admiral of the Fleet, since 1974 First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Navy.

And suddenly, on October 7, 1977, I was invited to see Admiral of the Fleet N. I. Smirnov. In my presence, he contacted the operational duty officer of the Northern Fleet over the loudspeaker and ordered him to report on the incident with the Volga floating base. The duty officer reported that in the early morning of October 7, the Volga submarine base, located in the Barents Sea, 200 miles from the coast, was overflown by nine unidentified flying objects, similar to metal disks the size of a helicopter. They maneuvered over this" Volga " for 18 minutes. The commander of the Volga floating base, captain third rank Tarankin unsuccessfully tried to contact the main base of the Northern Fleet - Severomorsk, but there was no radio communication-neither for reception nor for transmission.

Then, over the ship's internal loudspeaker, Tarankin gave the entire personnel a completely unusual command: "Everyone, remember, sketch, photograph so that when we return to the base, no one will say that your commander has gone mad." This was a non-standard team. As soon as the UFOs flew away, radio communication resumed, a radio message went to Severomorsk. An hour later, a reconnaissance plane arrived, but the incident was already over, there was nothing to scout.

On the same day, in my presence, N. I. Smirnov gave the command to the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Vice Admiral P. N. Navoitsev, the command: to implement "Methodological guidelines..." for UFO surveillance in all fleets and flotillas. So the fleet was the first to turn to the problem of unidentified flying objects. Then, two years later, these guidelines, partially reworked, were sent to other branches of the armed forces, and then the Hydrometeorological Service took them as a basis. The Rubicon has been crossed, and some research into unidentified flying objects in our country has begun.

These Guidelines stated: "Anomalous physical phenomena or objects (not identified with known phenomena or objects) are observed in our country and abroad by both casual observers and professional specialists: astronomers, aircraft crews, ships, and observation services for various purposes... A former employee of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the USSR Navy, captain of the 1st rank:

The directive that we sent to the fleets was clearly and firmly defined: no aggressive actions-neither by electronic means, nor by air maneuvers, nor by ships. If an object is detected on the water, do not take any action, do not provoke this object to respond. Go to a safe but easy-to-observe distance.

I. M. Barclay recalls

January 20, 1978, the Soviet Union. Deputy chief of the General staff of the Soviet Navy Vice-Admiral Yuri Ivanov directs the Deputy Chairman of the Oceanographic Commission USSR Academy of Sciences a letter which stated that Draft regulations on the UFO, developed under the guidance of Ph. D. Azhazha VG, applied to the design of UFO sightings all ships and vessels of the Soviet Navy.

1978. At the 33rd session of the UN General Assembly, Grenada once again raises the issue of organizing an international study of UFOs. At a meeting of the UN special political committee, a film was shown, which included footage from the most impressive UFO shootings. Under pressure from the United States, consideration of the issue was again put on the brakes and reduced to a call to "report UFO sightings to the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space". In persistent attempts of the American leadership not to allow an international study of the UFO problem concerned countries saw the US desire to diminish the significance of this issue in the eyes of the world, in order to gain a monopoly in this area. It was also suggested that the top military and political leadership of the United States is sufficiently aware of the nature of these objects and does not want this information to become widely known in the world.

1979. The Department of General Physics and Astronomy of the USSR Academy of Sciences has sent out Guidelines on the observation of AP in the atmosphere and outer space and on their possible impact on the environment, living organisms, and technical means to all organizations and departments that have a network of observation points or conduct work in the field. All these organizations are required to organize the collection of information about the observations of the AI and the procedure for submitting reports is specified.

January 1980. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR sent a Directive to all military units containing instructions for the implementation of the AI research program. This directive allows for the collection of information on UFOs to use the serious surveillance potential of the Soviet Army, and almost without any financial investment. Every soldier, no matter where he is, without knowing it, becomes one of the potential performers of the program because, in case of observation of any unusual phenomenon, he must report his observations to his superiors in writing in accordance with the established form. In fact, this directive put the army in the mode of mass duty monitoring of anomalous phenomena throughout the USSR.

The directive defined:

  • as the head performer of the program-22 Central Research Institute (CNII) The Ministry of Defense, having assigned to it the functions of the center for collecting, processing, and analyzing all information about UFOs received in the troops;
  • military scientific research institutes (Sri), responsible for program execution in each of the five branches of the armed forces, and their interaction with the Central Research Institute responsible for the program as a whole;
  • the procedure for obtaining information from the armed forces necessary for the identification of UFOs, primarily data on the launches of rocket and space technology carried out in the troops, by the main executor of the program;
  • rules for documenting the fact of UFO sightings in the military, the order of submission of messages, depending on the urgency and importance of the information contained in them.

V. P. Balashov, the head of the Central Research Institute, a major specialist in the field of research on the effects of radiation and other damaging factors on military equipment, was appointed scientific director of the military direction of work. A small group of military and civilian specialists, numbering from 4 to 5 people in different years, was formed directly to carry out research at the main institute of the Ministry of Defense. The performers of the topic include research organizations of the Ministry of Defense of various branches of the armed forces, as well as scientific institutions of the military-industrial industry, a total of about 15. The coordination of AI research between the Ministry of Defense and the Academy of Sciences is carried out by Colonel B. A. Sokolov, who works in the so-called "Applied Problems Section".

The head organization of the USSR Academy of Sciences is the Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere, and Radio Wave Propagation of the USSR Academy of Sciences (IZMIRAN). The director of the Institute, Academician V. V. Migulin, was appointed the head of this research area. For direct work on the topic, a working group of four people was formed, headed by Yu. V. Platov. The implementing organizations include institutes of the Academy of Sciences, organizations of the State Committee for Hydrometeorology, and Higher Education. The collection of observational material is also carried out in other organizations that are closed to the Academy of Sciences. The extent of their involvement ranges from collecting reports of UFO sightings to analyzing material and developing physical models of various classes of anomalous phenomena. The money is allocated from the budget of implementing organizations, and there is no targeted funding for research.

In 1979-80, the Department of General Physics and Astronomy of the Academy of Sciences, the State Committee for Hydrometeorology, and the Ministry of Defense sent out Guidelines for the organization of observations of anomalous phenomena. The Institute of Applied Geophysics and the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute was responsible for collecting and summarizing materials in the Goskomgidromet system. All UFO research is essentially limited to collecting data on observations of these objects and their impact on the environment.

As the main versions of the origin of UFOs in the USSR Academy of Sciences, the following were considered:

1. UFOs are the product of the human activity, i.e. these phenomena are of anthropogenic origin;
2. UFOs are the product of natural processes occurring on Earth, in the Earth's atmosphere, and near space-the hypothesis of the natural origin of anomalous phenomena;
3. UFOs are a manifestation of the activities of extraterrestrial civilizations.

It should be noted that the official documents did not accept the use of the abbreviation UFO. Instead, the term "anomalous phenomenon" was used, since this phrase was more consistent with the nature of the observed effects than "unidentified flying object".

To reduce the public response from the legalization of works on UFOs, it was decided to make these studies closed. This is due to three main circumstances:

  • the formal affiliation of the program to the closed work plan on defense topics;
  • high probability of the military-technical origin of the observed strange phenomena;
  • a relatively frequent manifestation of UFOs (NGOs) in the locations of military bases and the concentration of military equipment;
  • the presence of UFO specific properties that are of great interest from the point of view of military use (lack of radar contrast, high maneuverability, etc.).

Due to the closed nature of works on this problem, their coverage in the media is limited, and publications on UFOs are recommended to be sent for review to the USSR Academy of Sciences.

1980. The Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of the Navy, and the Ministry of Defense have issued instructions or guidelines for the collection of data on APS and their environmental impact.

1980-1981 In different cities of the USSR (Moscow, Leningrad, Gorky, Kiev, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Tbilisi… ) On the initiative of well-known scientists, public organizations that study UFOs appear.

1981. The program of UFO research "Grid" gets a new name - "Galaxy", and in 1986 - "Horizon" (each time with the addition of "MO" and "AN").

February 1984. The Central Commission on Anomalous Phenomena under the Committee on Environmental Problems of the All-Union Council of Scientific and Technical Societies (VSNTO) was established.

1985. The magazine "Change" (No. 4) published an interview with the correspondent member of the USSR Academy of Sciences who by which he confirmed that OOFA, USSR study AP is conducted under the special theme "Galaxy", the head of which is V. Migulin. At the same time, he stated that from 90 to 95% of the observed AES are explained by known natural processes or human technical activity.

1988. In the weekly Sobesednik (No. 44) Y. V. Platov confirmed that studies of AE are conducted not only in IZMIRAN, but in other organizations OOFA of the USSR.

April 26, 1990. For the first time, the head of the USSR publicly touched on the issue of UFOs. At a meeting with the staff of Uralmashzavod, Mikhail Gorbachev said that as far as he knows, there are scientific teams engaged in the study of these phenomena.

1990. The state program for the study of UFOs is closed.

Thus, the state program of studying the phenomenon of " UFO " in the USSR was conducted without interruption for 13 years until 1990. After completing the research program at the Department of General Physics and Astronomy (OOFA) The Russian Academy of Sciences continued to operate an expert group on anomalous phenomena until 1996, whose tasks included analyzing reports received by the RAS from eyewitnesses of "strange phenomena". Currently, such reports are also being examined by the OOFA RAS.

The generalized results of the work on the programs "Setka", "Galaktika", "Horizont", and the conclusions reached by the commission were not published in the open press.

Geography of UFO sightings and USOs

The archives of the Underwater Research Section of the Oceanographic Commission of the USSR Academy of Sciences, the Commission for the Study of Anomalous Phenomena of the Russian Geographical Society, the Academy of Information and Applied Ufology (AIPUFO), declassified materials of the KGB about UFOs ("Blue Package"), materials of the open press, personal archives of the authors, as well as eyewitness memories and interviews given to the authors by direct participants in the events.

The basis of the selected material is the Database (CAP RGO Database), which consists of about 12 thousand selected cases of sightings of AP-UFO-USOs and contacts with them. The CAP RGO database is formed by analyzing specialized publications, mass media, open and declassified materials from departmental archives, eyewitness accounts, the results of CAP RGO's own investigations, as well as the personal archives of its employees.

About 17% of the information (more than 2000 UFOs) on AP contained in the database of the CAP RGO are observations of AP (USOs, UFOs) in the waters of the World Ocean and the Caspian Sea.

The main area of observations of UFOs, USOs, and other AP in the 1960s and 90s was the Atlantic Ocean (about 50%) and the surrounding waters. The most frequent observations occurred in the Mediterranean Sea (25% of cases). Then - the North and Baltic Seas. Attention is also drawn to the so-called "Great Atlantic Rhombus" -a vast area centered in Puerto Rico: Bermuda - the Sargasso Sea - The Bahamas - the Gulf of Mexico - the Antilles - the Caribbean Sea.

The second-highest number of UFO sightings in these years were Pacific (26%), and the vast majority (58%) of cases occurred in the sea of Japan.

On the third place of the Arctic ocean and 21% of ufology cases. Of these, 70% of observations related to the Barents Sea basin. The minimum number of military observations related to the Indian Ocean and its inland waters.

The features of "naval" UFO and USO sightings are:

a) highly qualified observers. Almost all the witnesses are professionals with special training. They are able to estimate the distance to an object "by eye", know the configurations of military objects, and are able to identify them with sufficient reliability;

b) a large number of qualified witnesses. The officers of the watch are usually not alone on the bridge. In addition, on ships and vessels, UFOs are often observed by other crew members-from a few people to hundreds of eyewitnesses. According to CAP RGO, such UFO sightings and USOs account for more than 20%;

c) instrument locking. On warships, it is customary to fix unknown objects with all technical means and keep a record of this in the logbooks. So, radar and visual-radar observations of UFOs in the archives of the CAP RGO account for about 33% of cases;

d) long duration of observation and support. Open spaces of water areas, which are followed by ships and military vessels, provide a good opportunity for long-term observations of air and sea objects. In the archives of CAP RGO there are 13 cases of long-term (from 1 to 20 hours) UFO sightings over the seas and oceans;

e) participation in the observation of senior military officials, government officials, and scientists. These eyewitnesses, unlike ordinary observers, tend to be better informed about new developments, which allows them to more reliably filter out true UFOs from new weapons.

From the chronicle of observations:

April 1952. During the flight to the Hawaiian Islands, two disc-shaped objects were observed over the Pacific Ocean by the Secretary of the Navy in the US Presidential Administration, Dan Kimball. The objects circled his plane twice and moved to the accompanying plane with Admiral A. Radford on board. Circling around the second plane, the UFO flew away at a speed of about 2200 km / h. Knowing about the numerous reports of Navy pilots on UFO sightings, D. Kimball demanded that the chief of Naval intelligence conduct a full study of all reports by the Navy. The intervention of the CIA did not allow this to be done.

1966. The Arctic ocean. The famous polar explorer Dr. Rubens J. Vilela, while onboard the icebreaker Wind, which took part in the Deep Freeze naval maneuvers in the North Atlantic, observed a flight through the three-meter thick ice of an oblong object about 10 meters long. Forming huge sagebrush and dragging huge blocks of ice to a height of 20-30 m, the object disappeared like a silver bullet in the sky. The water in the sagebrush was bubbling, and there were clouds of steam above it. Together with the scientist, the phenomenon was observed by three people.

December 19, 1976. Atlantic. In the area of the Canary Islands, the Commander-in-Chief of the Canary Islands air zone, General Dols de Espejo, together with a group of officers from the T-12 aircraft, observed a white object three times larger than the Moon. The object began to grow in size, and soon a bright green "barrel" with a small rectangular dome on top was visible inside the large glowing semicircle. The same object was observed from the Spanish Navy training ship "Juan Sebastian Elcano" between Las Palmos and the island of Lanzarote, as well as the military at the Gando airbase on the Grand Canary Island.

December 1976 of the USSR. The Barents Sea. The commander of the fleet of submarines of the Northern Fleet, Vice Admiral A. Mikhailovsky, personally observed the UFO during the training shooting.

1977. Admiral A. A. Komaritsyn, Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry for Navigation and Oceanography (GUNiO): "In the western part of the Pacific Ocean near the island of Guam and in the strait zone to the Indian Ocean, in early 1977, I and other submarine commanders repeatedly observed unknown objects in the form of large yellow-red balls above the horizon at night. The same "balls" were observed in the Kamchatka region."

USSR. The Barents Sea. A huge luminous object at an altitude of 33 km was observed for a long time with the help of binoculars by the commander of the strategic submarine connection, Vice Admiral V. K. Korobov. According to the radar, the object was about two kilometers in diameter and was slowly moving towards Norway along the coast of the Kola Peninsula.

The main types of anomalous phenomena and their technical capabilities

The fact that unexplained phenomena are periodically observed in the waters of the World Ocean has long been known. Well-documented reports date back to the XIX-early XX centuries. Such observations include:

  • the mysterious shaped glow of water in the ocean (1864, the Gulf of Thailand, 1879 and 1901-the Persian Gulf, 1908, the Sea of Okhotsk, etc.);
  • powerful rays of light beating from the depths (15.05.1879, the Persian Gulf, the ship "Vulture", etc.);
  • flying out of the water and soaring high in the sky glowing balls, discs, etc. (12.08.1825, Atlantic, 18.06.1845, the Mediterranean sea, the ship "Victoria", etc.);
  • diving into the water, flying objects of unknown origin (1887, the Dutch ship "Ginny Eyre", 1902, the Gulf of Guinea, the British ship "Fort Salisbury", etc.).

In the twentieth century, with the development of anti-submarine technologies, dozens of reports of objects flying out of the water and "glowing wheels" rotating on the water were supplemented with hardware observations. Under the water, the movements of some unknown objects are periodically recorded. Moreover, at ultra-high speeds (up to 370 km / h) and at great depths (more than 6 km).

After the end of the Second World War, some believed that these were not surrendered submarines of the Third Reich. They objected: this is impossible since submarines need diesel fuel, provisions for the crew, repairs, and so on, which means permanent bases within the range of action. And the characteristics of the underwater "phantoms" - speed, maneuverability, and depth of immersion-were unattainable even for the best German submarines.

As the years passed, there were no fewer unidentified underwater objects. In the mid-1950s, they were repeatedly harassed by US warships on both sides of the American continent. In July 1957, a squadron of American strategic bombers over the Arctic Circle discovered a mysterious steel dome in the sea, which soon disappeared under the water. It was particularly noted that during the flight over the "dome" on the aircraft, many on-board devices failed. In 1958, during the International Geophysical Year, unidentified underwater objects (UFOs) were repeatedly detected by oceanographic vessels from different countries.

It was not until January 1960 that the "troublemakers" were more or less considered. Then two patrol ships of the Argentine navy, using sonar in their territorial waters, discovered two large and unusual-shaped submarines in the depths of the ocean. One was lying on the ground, the other was in constant motion, describing circles around the first. An urgent group of anti-submarine ships was called, which dropped a large number of depth charges on the "violators" of the sea border. However, the sailors achieved only one thing - both submarines surfaced and began to leave at high speed. The hulls of these submarines were "of an unprecedented shape" - with spherical conning towers. Unable to catch up with the submarines, the Argentine ships opened artillery fire on them. The submarines immediately sank under the water and sank into the depths with incredible speed. And then the sailors on the screens saw the inexplicable: the number of submarines first doubled, and then there were six!

The attempts of the Western press during the Cold War to play the "Soviet card" did not last long. Experts were well aware that even the most modern submarines are not able to come any closer to the characteristics that show unidentified underwater objects. The most advanced modern bathyscaphes, capable of reaching great depths, do not have any noticeable horizontal speed. And besides, it takes hours, not minutes, for them to dive to such depths and surface.

No less mysterious were the sound signals, which, since the 1960s, are recorded by the hydroacoustic means of submarines. All this attracted the attention of the intelligence services of the naval forces of different countries, including the Soviet Navy.

Thus, the main types of anomalous phenomena and objects that were in the field of view of the Navy intelligence were:

1. Unidentified sound objects (NSO) - unknown sources of acoustic radiation coming from the depths of the World Ocean ("Quakers").

2. Light phenomena of unknown origin - moving light spots, circles, and glowing rotating "wheels" on the surface of the water; "searchlights" and "pillars of light" shooting out of the water, glowing balls, etc.

3. Unidentified underwater objects (USOs) that demonstrate technical capabilities that are unattainable for a modern submarine fleet.

4. Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that regularly appear over naval bases and other areas of concentration of naval forces and assets.

Unidentified sound objects ("Quakers")

Recalls Captain 1st rank, a veteran submariner, in the 1970s-a senior officer of the General Staff of the USSR Navy:

In the mid-70s of the last century, a serious commotion began in the General Staff of the USSR Navy. The captains of nuclear-powered missile submarines returning from combat duty from the Atlantic Ocean, as if by agreement, began to file reports about strange sources of noise, the nature of which the acoustics did not understand.

The sounds are different-both in duration and in tone. But most of them sounded like the long croak of a frog. They were called " the Quakers." Subsequently, this name was legalized in official documents.

Kulinchenko V. T.

Kulinchenko V. T., captain of the 1st rank, a veteran of the submarine fleet, repeatedly encountered the "Quakers".

Kulinchenko V. T., captain of the 1st rank, a veteran of the submarine fleet, repeatedly encountered the "Quakers".

Basically, the Quakers began to be recorded when new submarines equipped with more advanced sonar facilities appeared in the Navy. When we went out into the Atlantic, we began to notice some unknown objects that were emitting strange signals.

Korzhev A. N., captain of the 1st rank, commander of a nuclear submarine:

Korzhev A. N., captain of the 1st rank, in the 1970s-commander of a nuclear submarine in the Northern Fleet.

Korzhev A. N., captain of the 1st rank, in the 1970s-commander of a nuclear submarine in the Northern Fleet.

The Quakers seemed to avoid meeting us. Sometimes the acoustics detected a croak right next to the boat, but then it seemed that the source of the sound was escaping from us at a speed of two or three times the speed of any underwater vessel.

Kulinchenko V. T.:

Judging by the constantly changing bearing, the Quakers circled the submarines, changing the frequency and tone of the signals. Some of the submarine commanders gave the impression that the "Quakers" were quite conscious of their actions.

The peculiarity of the "Quaker" sound is that it is impossible to determine its source. The sound comes from different directions, and the key is constantly changing. It was as if something was trying to get the submarine to talk. But it was never possible to understand what this "something" was, no large objects were found nearby.

Kulinchenko V. T.:

Accompanying our submarines, they would follow alongside them until they left some area, and then, after "croaking" for the last time, they would disappear without a trace. There was no aggression on the part of the "Quakers". Moreover, it seemed that the "Quakers " were deliberately demonstrating their peacefulness.

And although for many years of observation, not a single collision with croaking objects occurred, the crews of submarines during these "escorts" had to be in constant tension. During the "Cold War", such a phenomenon could not fail to interest the command of the Navy.

In the late 60s of the decision of the Chief of the Navy S. G. Gorshkov, with the consent of the Minister of defense Grechko A. A., when the Intelligence of the Navy was created by a task force of several officers. Task: to deal with the "Quakers". Not only was the collection and analysis of information organized, but a whole series of ocean expeditions were undertaken. Specially equipped vessels and reconnaissance ships ("Khariton Laptev", etc.) were sent to the ocean.

S. G. Gorshkov, Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union, in 1956-86 - Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Navy.

S. G. Gorshkov, Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union, in 1956-86 - Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Navy.

The operational headquarters of all fleets were instructed to collect information about acoustic phenomena, marking the areas of their occurrence on maps. The officers charged with collecting this information were also called " Quakers." We had a Quaker like that in the Northern Fleet, where I was stationed at the time. And I saw his secret map - the whole North Atlantic, starting from Iceland, just got measles.

Kulinchenko V. T.:

Quakers-it was one of the main objects for which it was necessary to observe and describe them. If there were several "Quakers", it was necessary to fix their construction geographically and geometrically.

Maneuvering around these formations, this acoustic radiation, we tried to locate them with our acoustic stations in active mode.

Komaritsyn A. A., Admiral, head of the GUNiO

The Academy of Sciences dealt with this problem at the request of the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. Our research Institute, which has a hydroacoustic orientation, was also engaged. Other organizations related to underwater noise were also involved. Everyone evaluated it differently.

Y. P. Kvyatkovsky, Vice Admiral, Head of the IDGS of the Navy

The main working version was that the "Quakers" were new developments of the Americans. What is their purpose? Here opinions differed. Someone thought they were the jammers for Soviet submarines. They objected to the submariners: the Quakers do not create any serious interference. Someone was convinced that these were devices that made navigation easier for American submariners. And someone saw in the Quakers elements of a global detection system.

I served as a flotilla staff officer in West Africa. We put the Quakers on maps based on reports from submarine commanders. We thought it was a mobile part of the submarine surveillance system.

Grigoryan V. L., captain of the 1st rank, veteran of intelligence

At that time, there was an opinion that Quakers were stationary sonar detection systems for our submarines, which were installed by the Americans. We were aware of similar systems: "SOSUS" and others.

Chernavin V. N., Admiral of the Fleet, Commander-in-Chief of the USSR Navy

It seems that everything is logical: the Americans, with the help of "Quakers", are expanding their detection system. However, the organization of such a global system is extremely expensive, even for the United States.

We had such a theory when the Anti-Submarine Warfare Forces were headed by Admiral N. N. Amelko, and his chief of staff was Admiral E. I. Volobuev. They developed a variant of covering the world ocean with special hydroacoustic buoys that would record the situation. In the end, all this was developed before the technical solutions. But the buoys turned out to be so huge and so expensive that our industry was unable to deliver literally a hundred of them, not just to throw the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean.

Chernavin V. N.

It was suggested that such a system for detecting submarines, which is inexplicably spreading throughout the world's oceans, can not be. If these are navigation beacons or elements of a detection system, then the devices must be stationary. They need a strict geographical reference. However, the observations of the submariners were often contrary to it.

The Quakers are surprisingly maneuverable. Calculations showed that they can move at speeds of up to 150-200 knots (up to 370 km / h), trying to stay on the bow heading angles in relation to the submarine.

E. Ibragimov, captain of the 2nd rank, flagship specialist of the RTS

We maneuvered around these objects to somehow determine their location. This was not easy, because the bearings that we set were blurred or shifted after a while. On the way back, when the submarine returned from a combat mission, I checked the points of the previous detection of the Quakers. Some coincided, and some did not coincide, or in their place appeared radiation with a different characteristic. The overall picture did not work out. I got the impression that they were moving objects.

Korzhev A. N.

The opinion was expressed that the Quakers are not only and not so much a means of detecting Soviet submarines, as a means of psychological warfare. Imagine that you are the commander of a submarine, you think that you are performing a combat mission secretly. And all of a sudden, all around you, these Quakers start " croaking." Will it affect you psychologically? Of course! Any commander would think he was discovered. This can be a means of psychological pressure, demoralization of the commander and the team as a whole

Kvyatkovsky Yu. P.

But here, too, not everything is smooth. If the Quakers were fixed objects with a rigid geographical reference, then yes - they are cheap and effective means of psychological warfare. But numerous mobile "croaks" are too expensive. After all, they need engines and autonomous energy sources. At the same time, each of the thousands of Quakers scattered across the world's oceans must be managed. Or they should be independent. And these are robots with artificial intelligence and navigation abilities.

The cost of such a global network will not just be super-large, but astronomical. And all for the sake of scaring the Soviet submariners? No, something's not right here. It was not only the mobility of the Quakers that was disconcerting, but also their number. At first, these were isolated sightings, but as time went on, more and more Quakers were discovered.

Their area began to expand. If at first the Quakers were mostly met in the Atlantic, then in time - already in the Norwegian Sea, and later in the Barents Sea.

Kvyatkovsky Yu. P.

Almost every day we found several Quakers. They were put on maps, analyzed by frequency, by the place of manifestation. During our service, so many Quakers have been discovered that one would think that the whole world was only engaged in making them and placing them on the World's oceans.

Monastyrshin V. M., rear admiral, veteran of the submarine Fleet

 V. M. Monastyrshin, Rear Admiral, General Director of the International Association of Submarine Veterans and Submariners.

V. M. Monastyrshin, Rear Admiral, General Director of the International Association of Submarine Veterans and Submariners.

The fact is that there were "quakers" not only in the North Atlantic, but also in the south seas.

I met with Quakers in the Pacific Ocean in 1976-77 near the island of Guam and in the late 1970s in the Strait of "Eight and a half" of the Philippine Sea. In the late 70s, Quakers were active in the area of the Philippine Islands. Almost all the commanders coming from those areas of the Pacific Ocean talked about such meetings.

Komaritsyn A. A.

Some meetings of our submariners with Quakers destroyed the idea of these objects as the creation of human hands.

Sometimes, passing through the area of action of this quaker, we came with some gray biological substance on the rubber coating of the submarine. For quite a long time, it still glowed like a firefly. But after a while, under the influence of the sun's rays, the glow faded.

Komaritsyn A. A.

Sometimes it seemed that the Quakers were insistently trying to establish communication with our submarines. They change the tone and frequency of the signals as if calling the submariners to a kind of dialogue. They are particularly active in responding to hydroacoustic messages from boats. In the early 80s, our submariners repeatedly tried to make contact with the Quakers.

Once in the area of the next "quaker", the boat, "responding", sent acoustic messages in different directions - different sounds. The "Quakers" certainly reacted to this - they always changed the tone of their "speeches". But no one was able to find out whether this reaction was meaningful.

Kulinchenko V. T.

I personally observed how when a submarine approached the Quakers, they changed their tone, for example, they switched from low to higher frequencies.

Komaritsyn A. A.

Another property of these objects was striking.

Once I decided to check what it is - a Quaker. Since there was no question of stealth at that time, I turned on the power-acoustic station-active mode and went to the area from which the signal was emitted. As I passed through it, the signals split and then stopped altogether. I turned around and heard the same signals again… There was nothing technical about it: no metal, no plastic, nothing. Some kind of energy formation. Not only me, but many commanders saw this at the time.

Komaritsyn A. A.

I and other submarine commanders met with the Quakers many times. I think that it could be not technical, but some kind of living energy formations.

Monastyrshin V. M.

Since the question is inexplicable, sometimes our scientists, including those from the Academy of Sciences, said: this is a biological origin of noise - in order to close the question. What is biology? Who both knew how and explained the biological basis, in their opinion, of the origin of these Quakers. In general, they shrugged it off.

Kvyatkovsky Yu. P.

Another property of these objects was striking.

And today, in the signals of the Quakers, someone clearly hears a living origin. Others believe that these signals are of a technical nature. Opponents of the biological hypothesis call its weakness the unusual speed of the Quakers. The fastest of living aquatic organisms-marine fish marlin-develop a speed of up to 80 km / h, that is, 3-5 times less than recorded in Quakers.

In addition, it is unlikely that "animals with high intelligence" will gather in the places of combat exercises of ships, and even more so all the time to cross the course of warships. It has been suggested that the Quakers are the very "underwater ghosts" that are unsuccessfully chased by the sailors of various countries. Another kind of underwater UFO begins to accompany submarines when they happen to be near their underwater bases. However, this version among the officers of the special group at the General Staff of the Navy was not particularly popular.

To say such a thing publicly is to seriously expose yourself. After all, in the USSR, more than once it was officially stated: there are no UFOs. Opinions about the nature of the Quakers continue to be the most controversial today, even among the workers who dealt with this problem. In the late 70s, a scientific conference on this topic also did not come to certain conclusions.

Light phenomena of unknown origin

Mysterious glows in the ocean have been known for a long time. There are dozens of testimonies. Here are some typical observations made in the XIX-early XX century.

July 16, 1864 South China Sea, Gulf of Thailand. Watchman Timofeev from the clipper "Vestnik" at night at the entrance to the bay noticed ahead of the course at the horizon two bright, pulsating light spots. He steered the ship between the light formations. These were glowing and rotating in different directions wheels in the form of 10-12 curved rays twenty meters thick, half coming out of the water.

The speed of rotation is about 10 revolutions per minute. The rimless wheels were 460 meters in diameter. When they were astern, another glowing, spinning wheel was seen ahead and to the left, but only of a smaller size. The total observation time is about 20 minutes.

Rotating "wheels" on the surface of the ocean (drawing according to the descriptions of witnesses).

May 15, 1879, The Persian Gulf. On a clear night, the captain of the British warship Vulture observed an unusual phenomenon: about 6 hours 3 minutes, Greenwich mean time (9.40 PM) I noticed glowing waves or ripples in the water. They were moving with great speed and passed under our ship from the south-south-west. Looking to the east, I saw what looked like a spinning wheel with glowing spokes, and to the west, I saw a similar wheel that was spinning in the opposite direction. The glowing waves were quite deep under the water, illuminating the white bottoms of ships passing in the distance. They seemed to me to be 25 feet wide, the dark spaces between them were about 75 -100 feet, the frequency of movement was 74 or 75 waves per minute, the speed averaged 84 English miles per hour. This beautiful and amazing sight lasted about 35 minutes. During the last 5 minutes, the concentric circles diverged from the area located at a distance of about 200 yards from our ship to the east, and these fluctuations, meeting with parallel waves, did not intersect, but disappeared for a while, and then reappeared, approaching the ship and forming an angle of about 90 degrees

April 4, 1901, The Persian Gulf. The crew of the ship "Kilve" in the morning for 15 minutes observed glowing circles at a low altitude above the sea surface. They appeared in front of the ship in the form of flashes, " replacing each other at a speed of 60 miles per hour." The captain of the ship Horizon reported on this observation at the Royal meteorological society.

August 22, 1908. The sea of Okhotsk. According to the testimony of the passengers of the Russian steamer Okhotsk, at 23.00 an unusually bright greenish-white light flashed under the stern. The spot surrounded the ship and moved with it for a while. Then it broke away from the " Okhotsk "and in 2 minutes reached the horizon. Then the glow spread out to the sides, giving a reflection on the low clouds. After the first glow, a second flashed under the stern, followed by a third and a fourth. Each time the same thing was repeated - covering the entire ship, breaking away from it, leaving with increasing speed and lighting up the horizon.

After the fourth observation, all-optical effects stopped. Individual phases of the origin of light spots could be observed simultaneously: one spot appeared under the stern, another separated from the ship, the third sailed at some distance from it, and the fourth already illuminated the horizon. The coordinates of "Okhotsk" were 57°03 s. w., and 155°50 ' w. d.

The observer-naval doctor Derbek F. D., who was on board:

Similar phenomena were observed in mid-September. Similar glows are observed in our time. Here are some of the testimonies.

Moving luminous circles on the ocean surface (drawing by N. Potapov according to the descriptions of witnesses).

Moving luminous circles on the ocean surface (drawing by N. Potapov according to the descriptions of witnesses).

October 12, 1969. The Bay of Bengal. The crew of the research vessel "Vladimir Vorobyov" from 23.30 for half an hour observed an unusual light phenomenon: a bright white spot with a diameter of 300-400 meters rotated counterclockwise around the vessel. Soon the "spot" broke up into eight rotating curved beams, resembling the blades of a turbine.

The echo sounder recorded a depth in the area of 170 m and the presence of an object at a depth of 20 meters. After a while, the glow weakened, the diameter of the "wheel" decreased to 80-100 meters, and soon the phenomenon stopped. The study of water for the presence of luminous plankton did not show its presence. The investigation showed that just before the glow appeared on the ship, the electric generator of the trawl winch failed, and with the appearance of the rays, the sleeping sailors woke up from a feeling of fear. During the manifestation of the phenomenon, the crew members experienced pressure on the eardrums of their ears and their condition, according to the head of the expedition, Eduard Petrenko, "was close to panic."

February 1972 North Atlantic.

In February 1972, I was sent on a diesel submarine of the 613th project for combat service on the Faroese-Icelandic border-between the island of Iceland and the Faroe Islands. One night I surfaced, began to scan the horizon with a periscope, and suddenly saw something incomprehensible. Above the horizon, at an angle of about 4 degrees - something elliptical, quite large and not far away, as it seemed to me. The moon was completely in the other direction, the sky was covered with clouds. And this "something" was orange-red in color and created an unpleasant psychological feeling, pressing on the psyche, a sense of fear created. It wasn't a ship, it wasn't any surface object.

It was something above the surface. We submerged and lay down on the bearing of this object. We have passed 6 kilometers, we swim-the object is again at the same distance. We go another hour, podsplyvaem - the object is again the same size, does not change any bearing, nor its height above sea level, nothing. And then we made a decision: not to write anything in the log, because we were not able to explain what it was, but to dive in and continue to perform the task.

When the submarine returned to the base in Gremikha, it turned out that Viktor Kulakov, the commander of the submarine, who went to this line before me in January, had the same thing. In the same way, he made attempts to approach this object - to understand, to look-waved his hand, plunged and left. Of course, I didn't write it down either - back then there were no directives to report unidentified objects, we were not obligated to do anything

Vice-Admiral Yu. P. Kvyatkovsky testifies:

1973. South-East Asia. Off the coast of Indonesia, in the Strait of Malacca at 2 am, the team of the Soviet ship "Anton Makarenko" observed a huge underwater "glowing wheel".

At first, they appeared on the waves... glowing spots. There were more and more of them. Then they stretched out in a line-six or eight meters wide and all the way to the horizon. From the bridge of the ship, you can see a space of up to 12 miles, and here it was all filled with luminous, strictly drawn lines. The distance between them is about forty meters. It became very light as if a moon had appeared in the sky. The glow is cold, silvery, and quite bright... Then the lines began to move. They spun like the spokes of a giant wheel, the epicenter of which was somewhat behind the ship. The rotation is slow, smooth, and even to the horizon. The sight is extraordinary and unforgettable. You know, it got to the point that we, experienced sailors, felt dizzy, felt sick, as if we were spinning on a carousel.

The captain of the vessel Lysenko E. V.:

Then the rotation (clockwise) began to gradually accelerate, and the ends of the" rays " curved... After 40-50 minutes, the light extravaganza ended.

1974 the Pacific ocean, the Kuril Islands. Sailors have repeatedly observed in the area of the Kuril Islands a phenomenon that residents of Japan and the Far East call "burning circle", "brilliant cloud", "Kuril light"... First, a bright spot appears on the horizon. It quickly approaches and grows literally before our eyes, reaching 400-500 meters in diameter. From the giant oval, a bright column of light goes far up, which works wonders: the compass points begin to "dance", people's hair-crackle, silk clothes-knock out long sparks, and some objects-glow.

It was at the junction of the strait zone of the Pacific Ocean in the Indian Ocean, at night, about two o'clock in the morning local time, under the periscope I saw an object similar to the rising sun - orange in the center, yellow on the sides, which hung over the night horizon in the presence of the Moon. And it was not clear, of course, what it was. I felt uneasy. Having examined the horizon, I, as the commander of the submarine, decided to dive.

Admiral Komaritsyn A. A. testifies:

1977. Of the Indian ocean. The Gulf of Aden. The crew of the ship "Nikolai Kremyanskaya" observes an unusual phenomenon. The sea suddenly glowed with a white-frosted light, forming a huge glowing circle around the ship, reaching almost to the horizon. "It seems that a giant lantern illuminated the water from below. It became quite light all around...". For no apparent reason, the main engine speed dropped from 107 to 104 rpm, and the temperature of the seawater changed.

June 15, 1978, South America, the Gulf of Guayaquil. Not far from the coast of Ecuador, the crew of the Soviet motor ship Novokuznetsk witnessed an unusual sight. First, four glowing stripes 20 meters long appeared in the water near the bow of the ship, then two more stripes 10 meters long approached the starboard side. Then, 100 meters in front of the ship, a flattened white ball the size of a soccer ball flew out of the water, quickly rounded the ship, hovered for seconds at a height of 20 meters, rose up, described a zigzag, and plunged back into the water.

March 1983. Of the Indian ocean.

In the area of the Diego Garcia atoll, the crew of the nuclear submarine, which I then commanded, observed an incomprehensible glow underwater. It was distributed by the bands.

Admiral Komaritsyn A. A. testifies:

July 1983 Atlantic Ocean.

While on combat service south of Iceland, we observed a pronounced glow coming from the depths of the ocean for 20 minutes.

The captain of the 2nd rank, P. Syrchenko, testifies:

June 8, 1984. The Adriatic Sea, the Neretva Bay. Eyewitnesses-the crew of the Soviet research vessel "Professor Pavlenko" observed a bright spot that appeared on the surface, from which luminous rings with clear borders radiated in all directions across the water. The radial velocity of their propagation was about 100 m/min. There are photos of this phenomenon.

Glowing concentric circles in the ocean.

There are many similar observations. Hypotheses for their explanation were put forward very different.

One of the most convincing is the hypothesis of the German oceanologist K.Kale. He believes that the "shaped" glow " is caused by the interference of seismic waves coming from the depths of the ocean and causing the smallest microorganisms in the surface layer of water to glow. It is possible that such a phenomenon takes place, but, according to experts, this theory does not explain either the rotation of the "light mills", or the symmetry of the glow, or the "searchlights" striking from the depths of the ocean. It is also contradicted by the fact that often during the mysterious phenomenon of glowing microorganisms in the water are completely absent.

The hypothesis of luminous microorganisms does not explain the cases when it is possible to see the source of the light extravaganza. For example, the case that occurred in 1967 in the Gulf of Thailand. At that time, the sailors of four Dutch ships ("Webbank", "Chanty", etc.) several times observed the rotation of "huge luminous wheels" under the water. The speed of rotation reached 100 revolutions per minute. Ship "Glenfalloch" failed to consider the source of the rays: it was a glowing convex object with a diameter of 20-30 meters, protruding above the surface of the water.

A rotating "wheel" observed in 1967 in the Gulf of Thailand. (Reconstruction according to the descriptions of eyewitnesses).

A rotating "wheel" observed in 1967 in the Gulf of Thailand. (Reconstruction according to the descriptions of eyewitnesses).

No less interesting is the case that occurred in early July 1975 in the USSR, in Uzbekistan. Resting on the shore of the Charvak reservoir near the village of Yusupkhona, four young people (all names are known) woke up about three o'clock in the morning from an unaccountable fear. The reason was immediately clear: in 700-800 meters from the shore, a glowing ball was smoothly understood from under the water. "The light was cold and dead, like a daylight lamp, only hundreds of times brighter," recalls one of the eyewitnesses, Alexander Shapovalov.

As the ball rose, concentric circles of varying thickness and brightness appeared around it. The glowing sphere slowly emerged from the water and also slowly rose above the lake. "We watched such an incredible sight in absolute silence for 6-7 minutes, and all the time we experienced a feeling of animal fear, which restrained movement. This terrible state can be compared to the one that a person experiences during earthquakes.".

Today's science has no unambiguous explanation for such light phenomena.

Unidentified submerged object (USOs)

Underwater objects of unknown origin can be classified as USOs:

  • moving with characteristics that significantly exceed the capabilities of the most modern submarines;
  • remotely affecting the functioning of equipment and weapons;
  • mechanically affect immersed in the depth of technology and marine vessels.

The specific features of a number of USOs include:

a) great depths and ultra-high speeds of movement underwater

One of the first domestic observations of such characteristics of USOs was made in 1950 in the Black Sea when military sonar detected unknown underwater objects moving at very great depths at a speed much faster than the speed of known ships.

In the following year, 1951, the USO was recorded in the Sea of Okhotsk. An unknown underwater object, slowly moving towards the continent, was detected by sonar by a Soviet submarine in its territorial waters at a depth of two kilometers. The object did not respond to attempts to establish a connection. The border ship was ordered to drop depth charges in the USO area. Only after some time, it abruptly rose to a depth of 50 meters and at high speed went into the open sea. Soon his signal disappeared from the" field of view " of the submarine's acoustics.

The General Staff of the Soviet Navy received information that the US Navy also met with similar characteristics of unknown underwater objects. Here are some examples of such meetings.

March 13, 1963, Caribbean Sea. The US Navy conducted an anti-submarine warfare exercise off the coast of Puerto Rico. At the head of the strike group is the aircraft carrier Usp. Five escort ships, including a cruiser and a frigate, several Los Angeles-class submarines, and anti-submarine aircraft made up the squadron of 13 Navy combat units. On this day, almost all of them began to report to the flagship about the detection of an NGO moving under the ships at a depth of 4 to 6.5 km at a speed of 100 to 150 knots (280 km/h). The object maneuvered within a large area for four days. Its displacement was estimated at 15 thousand tons. The commander of the US Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk (Virginia) appointed a special commission, which, after studying the materials, came to a dead-end from the recorded characteristics.

1964. The Atlantic Ocean. The Bermuda Triangle. The US Navy is conducting another anti-submarine force exercise in the area of the North American Basin. The area is under the control of AUTEC, the Atlantic Underwater Test and Analysis Center, which has remote underwater tracking systems with acoustic beacons in the Bahamas and near Andros Island. Both warships and NIS were engaged in the maneuvers. Suddenly, sonar sensors detected an unusual underwater ship at a great depth. A large number of instruments gave an accurate picture: a powerful pulsation came from a depth of 8100 m, the speed of the object was 120 knots (220 km/h). The location of the ultra-high-speed object at a depth unattainable for submarines was also confirmed by two anti-submarine formations, hundreds of miles apart. The object was tracked for several days. This became known to Congress and the committees that control the costs of anti-submarine defense and AUTEC.

September 1965 Atlantic Ocean, Azores. A strike group led by the American aircraft carrier Bunker Hill found an aircraft moving underwater at a speed of 150-200 knots (270-370 km/h) south of the Azores. From the aircraft carrier, the "Tracker" attack aircraft were raised with the order to destroy the target. However, when the aircraft approached, the object flew out of the ocean and at high speed escaped from the pursuers

b) extra-large dimensions

1990 The Black Sea. Director of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR E. Shnyukov - head of the expedition to the Black Sea on the research vessel "Mikhail Lomonosov" testifies. "At a depth of 1400 - 1800 meters, a mysterious body was discovered - an elliptical object measuring three by two kilometers. On the echograms, its thickness is determined - up to 270 meters. Its materiality and density were confirmed by devices that warn barometers against impacts on solid ground - they invariably triggered when they came into contact with the ground. The analysis of water samples taken near the NGO showed no hydrochemical anomalies."

1990. The Black Sea. Researchers of the sea depths in Sevastopol reported to the expert of the Association "Ecology of the Unknown" Kuzovkin A. S. about their observation during the descent in a deep-sea bathyscaphe. It was an unknown object in the shape of a wheel, the diameter of a ten-story house, standing vertically in the water column. From the bathyscaphe, it was visible how this "wheel" took a horizontal position and began to rotate and then began to move away.

April 15, 1993. The Barents Sea. Russian anti-submarine ships, having joined the search for the missing American destroyer, found a 210-by-120-meter NGO in the western part of the sea, which was moving at a depth of 60 knots (110 km / h)

c) no disturbance of the water environment

1978. The Laptev Sea. A UFO hovering near the destroyer temporarily disabled the navigation instruments. At the same time, the commander and almost the entire crew observed a bell-shaped object at an altitude of about 30 meters, which sparkled with a light yellow color and seemed translucent. Inside, something dark pulsed like a heart. After a while, the UFO slowly descended to the water and at high speed glided across the water surface without disturbing the environment. When he was out of sight, the ship's instruments began to work. Another ship a few kilometers away from the destroyer saw a strange yellowish object streaking across the surface of the water not far away.

d) the ability to move from the water environment to the air environment

1950. The Black Sea. The crew of the cruiser observed an egg-shaped object that rose from the surface of the sea. It took off noiselessly, leaving no waves or ripples on the water.

January 27, 1962, Atlantic Ocean. Antarctica. The US Navy icebreaker, while on combat service in Antarctica, observed the exit of a seven-meter-thick silver object with a length of 10 meters from under the ice. Water cascades with a height of up to 30 meters rose from the punched hole. The object disappeared into the clouds

The 1960s. The Atlantic ocean. Antarctica. Captain of the first rank V. informed Colonel Kolchin G. K.  that at least five times he observed departures from the water of unknown objects of disco and cigar-shaped shapes. Before each departure, a water dome was formed, and after the objects left the water, the dome collapsed on the surface of the ocean. All sorties took place at a considerable distance from the ships. Sometimes the objects hovered or made maneuvers.

August 1965. The Red Sea. The crew of the Soviet steamer "Rainbow" watched as two miles from the ship, a fireball with a diameter of 60 m flew out of the water and hovered at an altitude of 100-150 m above the sea surface, illuminating it. Following the ball, a giant column of water rose, which in a few seconds crashed down. After hanging for a few minutes, the balloon flew smoothly towards the central part of the sea.

It should be noted that the departures of unidentified objects from under the water are observed not only in the seas and oceans but also in inland waters.

August 1970. Kamchatka. Kronotskoe lake. According to the oceanologist Agarkov, who led the hydrological exploration on this lake: "One day in August, in good weather, the four of us, being in a motorboat on the lake, suddenly saw a dome of rising water form one kilometer away, from which an oval object of gray color with a diameter of 40-50 m flew out. The object slowly rose to a height of 200-250 m at an angle of 70-80` to the horizon, slightly approaching the boat, and hovered motionlessly. The boat's engine immediately stopped working. We were all frightened and dazed for a minute and a half, and then we decided to row to the shore. After a while, the object took off from the spot and with a very high speed rushed towards the ocean, after which the boat engine started working again."

1975. The Pacific Ocean. According to the materials of the Intelligence Department of the Soviet Navy, in the central part of the ocean, a Soviet submarine on a combat mission was taken in "pincers" by a group of USOs. Six objects accompanied the submarine, and during its maneuvering, the bearing on the NGO did not change, which is impossible in contact with terrestrial deep-sea vehicles. The submarine had to surface, violating the conditions of secrecy. Following her, six disc-shaped USOs flew out of the water and sped off into the sky.

December 17, 1977, South Atlantic. The area of the island of South Georgia. According to the ship's doctor of the large freezing trawler "Vladimir Kiselev" Zakharov: "From 17.00 to 20.10 pm, the crew watched as an unknown object flew out of the water in the form of a mushroom cloud, leaving a plume of smoke. It hovered at an altitude of 4-5 kilometers at a distance of two miles from the ship and at the same time took the form of a" plate " with a diameter of three hundred meters! The object changed the angle of inclination to the horizon when hovering, then suddenly disappeared, leaving no traces. During the period of observation of the UFO, there was a violation of the ship's radio station and radio direction finder." The object hung for 3 hours, and then instantly disappeared. The object was photographed.

March 5, 1979, Atlantic Ocean, Canary Islands. Thousands of people on the island of Gran Canaria witnessed an extraordinary phenomenon. A large dark object shot out of the water and shot upward. After a moment, it glowed brightly and disappeared from the eyes, leaving behind a huge luminous cloud.

1979 South Atlantic. The area of the island of South Georgia. According to the head of intelligence of the Northern Fleet flotilla, Captain 1st rank Berezhnoy V. E.: "We received intelligence information about UFO sightings, about various balls, luminous objects moving both over the sea and over ships, which abruptly changed the direction of movement, instantly appeared, instantly disappeared. And this happened both over coastal objects and over ships in the sea and just over the sea surface. So in 1979, in the area of the island of South Georgia, fishermen for a long time observed an object that flew out of the water, which hovered at a height of several hundred meters. He was constantly photographed. Despite the wind, the object did not change its location and hung in the same place for several hours. And then he disappeared instantly."

May 1982: the Pacific ocean. Kamchatka. Testifies to the captain of the 2nd rank A. Sokolov, commander of the TFR-23: "Together with the officer of the watch and the signalman, I observed the exit from the water in the area of the Kamchatka flotilla of a cigar-shaped object with a length of 150-200 meters. The output is slow, silent. The object hovered at an altitude of 250-300 meters, where it started four engines (4 fires in the aft part) and quickly disappeared into the atmosphere. I wanted to report on the table of special reports, but there for No. 16 only "splashdown of UFOs" is noted. I reported back to the base. They made fun of me there."

1983. The Atlantic Ocean, Bay of Biscay. According to Captain 1 rank Loboda S. A. The French were preparing to test a new nuclear submarine. A Soviet radio intelligence ship was monitoring the situation. Suddenly, just before dawn, the watchman reported seeing a light spot on the water. Loboda went up to the bridge and saw "something glittering fly out of the water like giant grasshoppers, and without a splash descend back into the water." The French urgently curtailed the tests and left the area.

1990. USSR, Bering Strait. Participants of the Soviet scientific expedition witnessed how three UFOs flew out of the water in the area of Cape St. Lawrence.  Among the eyewitnesses was Academician R. F. Avramenko of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Unidentified flying objects (UFOs)

One of the first documented reports of sightings of unidentified flying objects over the water surface in Russia dates back to the XVII century. Interesting information is presented in a report to the authorities from the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. It says that on August 15, 1663, a strange luminous body with a diameter of about 40 yards appeared from the north over the village of Robozero (present-day Vologda region), which was slowly moving in a southerly direction with a strong noise at a low altitude.

From its front, two beams were directed at the lake near the village. Once over the lake itself, the flaming ball suddenly disappeared and then reappeared, but already 0.5 km south-west of the place where it disappeared. Soon it disappeared again and appeared for the third time at a distance of 0.5 km west of the last place.

Here it began to fade and disappeared completely. When trying to approach it by boat, the peasants experienced a strong heat, and the bottom of the lake was illuminated to a depth of 8 m. The total duration of observation of the mysterious body was 1.5 hours. After the 30-meter fireball disappeared, a brown film, similar to rust, remained on the surface of the water for some time.

Observed UFOs sometimes demonstrate forms and technical capabilities that do not fit into the framework of the ideas of military scientists and engineers and currently cannot be reproduced by the military-industrial complex. Such" extraterrestrial " capabilities of UFOs and USOs are recorded in more than 25% of cases.

In the archives of the KAI PRO and AMPOFO there are data describing such features UFO:

a) unusual shapes and sizes ("cigars" and cylinders with a length of 80 m to two kilometers; hemispheres, "barrels", "jellyfish", "yula", "dumbbells", and glowing balls; triangular-shaped UFOs, sometimes the size of a" stadium", mini-UFOs up to 40 cm in size, etc.).

August 26, 1975. Barents Sea, Motovsky Bay. The commander of the submarine, Captain 1 rank Korzhev A. N., testifies:" At 21.30, the nuclear submarine of the 671 projects went out through the Motovsky Bay to work out a combat mission. On the bridge, the usual staff: me, the officer of the watch-the assistant commander, and the signalman. After a while, the signalman reports: right 45 degrees unknown object. The object was an unusual shape, like a parachute. It glowed all over and was clearly visible against the dark sky. The lighting was ringed. The brightest glow came from the lower ring, such a white intense light, then a moon-colored ring, then a reddish, pink color, then a dark red, purple, dark purple, and finally, in general, the dome was hardly discernible against the sky. But above the dome, a triangular fire of phosphorescent, greenish-blue color was clearly visible…"

July 29, 1978, Mediterranean Sea. The captain of the Soviet motor ship "Yargora" Cherepanov radio message to the Academy of Sciences of the USSR reported: "July 29, 1978, in the Mediterranean Sea at 37 degrees north latitude and 3 degrees 40 minutes east longitude observed over North Africa from 7.30 to 8.40 am unknown aircraft in the form of a flattened ball of white mother-of-pearl. In the lower part, three protruding structures resembling antennas are seen. The object was moving from east to west."

1979 South Atlantic. The area of the island of South Georgia. According to the head of intelligence of the Northern Fleet flotilla, Captain 1st rank Berezhnoy V. E.: "For a long time, fishermen observed a strange flying object in the sky. It had a regular round shape, inside which an isosceles triangle stood out. The disk hung over the island and was observed for quite a long time - for 1.5-2 hours-both before and after sunset. In the light sky, the triangle in it looked dark, and at night, this triangle not only glowed but also at the base there were some lights, as if it was working engines, although the object was in the same place."

July 1980 The Mediterranean Sea. The captain of the 1st rank Grigoryan V. L. testifies: "At that time I was the head of the practice of cadets of the Caspian Higher Naval School on the training ship "Smolny". We were south of Corsica. The signalman reported that the plane was detected, but the radar did not see any object. This aroused the interest of the command, and together with the commander of the ship, I went up to the bridge. Through the binoculars with twenty-fold magnification, it was clearly visible that it was not an airplane, but a saucer-like object with three sliding devices from below. The upper part is completely smooth, similar to a parachute, and the lower part is more like a corner. The color of fire, red and yellow colors, without overflow, solid color. The object was higher than the sun, so you could see its lower part, but the upper part was also glowing. After 20 minutes, the object disappeared from view, we just stopped observing it. There were many observers: in addition to the officer of the watch and the signalman, who discovered that the commander of the ship and I were invited to the upper deck, as well as about 50 cadets who were on deck at that time."

September 17, 1984 Gulf of Finland. At 04:06 onboard the ship, the cadets of the naval school observed a glowing object of triangular shape with symmetrically diverging luminous "mustaches". A ball of bright blue-green color was rising beneath him. After three minutes, the upper object seemed to dissolve, and the ball hovered for 20 minutes. Then it also began to fade, taking on various forms. The total observation time is more than one and a half hours.

November 1990. Barents Sea, Western Face Bay. The triangular object hung for a long time over the lip of the Nerpichya and Malaya Lopatkina, where the ships of the Northern Fleet are being repaired.

August 8, 1991. The Black Sea. Residents of Sevastopol and the crews of the Navy ships standing on the roadstead observed a UFO in the shape of a diamond with two central lights, then a triangular pyramid appeared, from each face of which a "searchlight" was visible. Its height was 12 times less than the width of the base.

b) "base mother ships", from which smaller vehicles fly out and into which they fly in; separating objects;

1947. The Baltic Sea. Anti-aircraft gunners of the artillery division observed overflights around the guns of a group of small disc-shaped objects with a diameter of about 70 cm. After some time of "studying" the position of the military, they rose up and were drawn in by larger disks, after which the entire squadron slowly flew away towards the sea.

On February 2, 1952, during the fighting in Korea over the Sea of Japan, the US Navy observed the separation of the object into two objects (according to the US Blue Book archive).

The 1970s. The Pacific ocean. According to the reports of the head of intelligence of the Pacific Fleet, Rear Admiral V. A. Domyslovsky, the sailors in a remote area of the ocean observed a cylindrical object hovering over the water with a length of 800-900 m. Small objects flew out of one end of it, dropped into the water, and after a while returned to the base ship again.

September 20, 1977. The White Sea. The unique submarine 705 of the project was returning from sea trials to the plant in Severodvinsk. Captain of the 2nd rank V. Shcherbakov drew attention to the bright "star" moving rapidly across the sky. When moving from north to south, it turned into a light strip. With the help of binoculars, it became clear how objects "the size of a pea" began to fly out and fly in different directions from one end of the cylinder. It was not possible to estimate the height and size.

September 21, 1980, Eastern Atlantic. From the research vessel "Viktor Bugaev" by telegram to the home port (Odesa) It was reported that nine people together with the head of the detachment Kistanov in the evening at 18.00 observed the passage in the north-east direction of the object in the form of a cone-shaped cigar with a bright beam of light in the nose. He slowly and silently crossed the ship's course astern at an altitude of about three kilometers. After a few seconds, the machine hovered, slowly rotating. A similar vehicle separated from it and accelerated away in a northwesterly direction. After that, the first object removed the "sheaf " of light and, increasing the speed, disappeared in the same direction. Both objects had a dark stripe running down the center for one-sixth of the length of the hull. The total observation time was more than two minutes.

November 4, 1983. Barents Sea, Kola Bay. At about 02.30 am, the crew of the special diving vessel "Octopus" in the mouth of the Kola Bay observed the passage of a faintly glowing object of elliptical shape. It moved slowly, at an altitude of 500-1000 meters, from north to east. When approaching the ship, the object reduced its speed to 9 km / h and moved synchronously with the ship, repeating its movements along the fairway. The total observation time was about two hours. When approaching Murmansk, the UFO was divided into three balls, which began to fly with equal angles of flight. Their glow and speed increased dramatically, they flew towards the Norwegian border and soon disappeared behind the hills. The flights of the objects were silent.

March 1985. The Caspian Sea. In the area of Krasnovodsk, the station of the radar company of Captain Valuev detected a stationary ball with a diameter of about 1 kilometer at an altitude of 20 km. Soon, a disk with a diameter of 6 - 7 meters separated from it and landed two kilometers from Krasnovodsk. Immediately, patrol boats of the Caspian Flotilla were sent to the landing site. As they approached, the UFO took off and landed 200 meters away from them. This was repeated five times. Finally, the disc took off and headed towards the giant ball at high speed. Their marks on the radar matched, after which the ball disappeared.

c) transition from air to water environment

1906. North Atlantic. 600 miles from Cape Race. The crew of the steamer "St. Andrew" watched as at a distance of about 5 miles from it, three unknown objects entered the water one after another. Soon another object in the shape of a saucer with a diameter of 3-5 m flew along a zigzag trajectory and also sank into the water one mile from the steamer.

Summer of 1962. The crew of the ship "Cayoba Sihoro" off the coast of Brazil with amazement watched a strange flying object that plunged into the water next to the ship. Another object at the same time flew out of the water and disappeared into the night sky.

One thousand nine hundred sixty-four North Atlantic. The first officer, Captain of the 2nd rank A. Voronov, testifies. The submarine was to surface at a certain point in the ocean for a short rendezvous with an auxiliary ship. At the specified point, the boat left almost an hour and a half ahead of schedule, and the commander, taking advantage of this pause and the dark time of the day, after surfacing, allowed part of the team to go on deck. Soon the officer of the watch discovered a large cigar-shaped object against the background of the starry sky, moving completely noiselessly. The commander, assuming that it was a patrol airship of the US Coast Guard, ordered to prepare for an urgent dive. Suddenly, three bright beams shot out from the bottom of the "airship", which made it clear that the object was missing a gondola, as well as horizontal and vertical rudders. The length of the object reached 200-250 meters, the distance to the object was about a mile. Then something unexpected happened: the object, without turning off its searchlights, began to slowly descend and disappeared under the water. The boat's sonar sensors picked up a brief hissing sound at that moment.

September 10, 1972, Pacific Ocean. The Kuril Islands. The crew of the Soviet cruiser "Varyag" in the area of the Kuril Islands observed an object that rapidly "fell" from the sky into the ocean. At first, it looked like a ball, but when it entered the water, it took the shape of a cone, and there were no splashes at all.

End of 1982. The Black Sea. Crimea. During a naval exercise, an unknown target was detected in the sky over the naval base in Balaklava, which did not respond to the "friend-foe" request. It flew at the height of a helicopter, had a sharp nose, "like the TU-144", and sparks flew out of the tail section. At the approach of the fighter-interceptors, the UFO went under the water. Warships were brought in to search for him but to no avail.

Unusual features of UFOs and USOs

Reports from the fleets of the Navy, other branches of the Armed Forces, as well as reports received through special channels from abroad, said that UFOs and USOs often have unusual technical and other capabilities.

a) the active impact of UFOs and USOs on equipment, weapons, and the environment

Very often, near UFOs and USOs, there is a significant increase in electromagnetic and magnetic fields, there are cases of temporary failure of electrical and radio equipment. Sometimes such an impact is purposeful and is caused by aggressive actions on the part of the military.

Attests to the captain of the 1st rank Barclay I. M., in 1970-80-an employee of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the USSR Navy: "According to reports "from the field" in the area of unidentified flying objects, the level of the electromagnetic field increased dramatically-tenfold, which negatively affected the state of the radio-electronic equipment on ships. Often, this equipment was "locked", that is, it simply stopped working. Then, after a while, it began to function again, independently entering the mode. Such cases were observed very often. For example, in 1985, on one of our ships south of the Bermuda Archipelago, when a UFO approached, all electronic equipment was turned off for 11 minutes. And not only electronic but also related to magnetic fields - magnetic compasses, watches. All the equipment stopped working.

In addition, our ships of a specific orientation received information about the registration of very strong electromagnetic fields underwater. What this anomaly is connected with, is difficult to say. Ordinary objects - submarines, bathyscaphes, scientific vessels-they cannot create such electromagnetic fields. Where do these anomalies, clumps of energy, come from? The facts were such, the information was received."

August 1944 Sea of Okhotsk, Primorye. The captain of the III rank N. Fedchenko testifies. The big sea hunter went out to sea with the task of detecting a cruising submarine. Suddenly, from the north, a glowing spot appeared over the horizon. It quickly grew in size and went to the intersection of the course, although the ship went without lights and observed radio silence. Soon, the glowing spot surrounded the ship, plunging it into a glowing mist. Tassels of blue flame appeared on all the protruding parts. The radio communication is out of order. Trying to break away from the "spot" at full speed did not help. After about twenty minutes, the fog began to fade, and soon the ship was swallowed up in the darkness of the night.

1967. Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda. Two Cuban MIG-21 fighters were sent to intercept a spherical UFO approaching the island. As soon as the order to destroy it was received, the radars and missiles failed. The pilot of the winged plane saw the first plane explode without flame or smoke.

October 1975 Atlantic Ocean, West coast of Africa. Colonel Vladimir N. testifies: "During the military conflict in Angola, two of our landing ships, having completed a combat mission, departed from the coast of Africa with a certain interval in time. Soon, three spots of light were seen from one ship on the ocean surface, but the sonar did not detect any underwater objects. The three spots then took up the "escort position", positioned in front of the bow, astern, and under the bottom of the ship. Immediately after that, the radio connection was lost. This went on for about an hour. Later it turned out that the ship itself was not on the radar screens of the other ship at that time, which caused serious alarm to the captain. As soon as the glowing objects left the ship alone, communication was immediately restored. This case caused a long investigation, even the hull of the ship was examined, but nothing was found."

August 12, 1979. The Black Sea. District Of Adler. The engineer Ya testifies. Podvyazny, who together with two satellites from 2 am for two and a half hours observed strange maneuvers of the luminous object. It was moving jerkily over the water from the sea towards Adler. "After another sharp throw, he was at a distance of a kilometer from us, west of Khosta. We managed to take nine pictures and see it through the optics. The object was 50-100 meters in diameter and had four rows of glowing portholes. It was moving over the water at an altitude of 5-20 meters, slowly rising at an angle of about 3 degrees to the horizon. A nearby patrol ship illuminated the UFO with its searchlight. And immediately, a light beam left the object and turned into a ball, which flared up and went out. And at the same time, the searchlight and all the lights on the patrol ship went out. The surveillance continued until 04.30 am."

August - September 1980. The Caspian Sea. From a personal conversation with the pilot, Lieutenant Colonel N, it turned out that the UFO, hovering quite high in the coastal area of Krasnovodsk (Turkmenistan), with its rays "probed" the territory of two radars on the hill. After that, circular traces of melted soil were left on the ground in several places.

1982. Pacific Ocean, Kamchatka. At a large-scale exercise of the Pacific Fleet in the Kamchatka region, radio communication between the ships and the coast was completely interrupted for half an hour during the slow passage of a UFO.

October 1988. The Pacific Ocean, Kuril Islands, Shikotan Island area. With the appearance of a huge UFO with 36 symmetrically arranged lights on the aircraft carrier cruiser "Novorossiysk", diesel immediately stopped, all electronic systems were de-energized and even portable batteries of radio stations stopped working. After 15 minutes, the object flew away, and everything started working again.

July 14, 1989. The Atlantic Ocean, the area of the "Bermuda Triangle". According to the correspondent of the magazine "Soviet Military Review" Lieutenant Colonel S. Menyailo: "Our destroyer" Excellent " was 740 miles off the coast of the United States and 200 miles from Bermuda when at night about 50 people noticed a bright star flashed at the zenith, which in three minutes reached the size of the lunar disk. And immediately the radiotelephone contact with the flagship - the missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" was interrupted. This "spot" of a yellowish color with a dark formation in the center, about 20 minutes accompanied the destroyer at an altitude above the rare smoky clouds, then began to dissipate, losing brightness.

The dark spot in the center turned from orange to transparent and disappeared after four minutes. Radio contact has been restored. The old-timers said that they had seen similar things in these latitudes before.

b) invisibility to radar with a nice visual appearance;

Trying to determine the direction and distance to the object by radar, in some cases we did not receive a reflected beam. The impression was that the field, which is surrounded by an unidentified flying object that absorbs electromagnetic radiation.

Captain 1st rank Barclay I. M. testifies:

On 1 February 1993, the Gulf of Finland, the Kronstadt. Military sailors from Kronstadt reported that the Coast Guard posts service observed a synchronous flight at a supersonic speed of two luminous objects at an altitude of seven kilometers. Over Kronstadt, they made a sharp turn toward St. Petersburg. They moved noiselessly, they were not recorded on the radar. The total observation time is 10 minutes.

c) visual invisibility with clear radar detection;

The 1960s. The Sea of Japan. This is evidenced by Rear Admiral Chefonov O. G., at that time the commander of a nuclear submarine. Twice he and several times the other submarine commanders on the traverse of Nakhodka on the radar screen appeared high-speed air target. It silently approached and, having entered the "dead zone" (about 90 meters), disappeared. Visually, the target was not observed.

Early autumn 1982. The sea of Japan. The exercises of the ships and aircraft of the Far Eastern Military District ended in the waters of the Pacific Fleet base in the city of Pacific. All the aircraft that took part in the exercise returned to the heavy aircraft carriers "Minsk" and "Novorossiysk". Suddenly, a "target" appeared on the radar screen of one of the TACRS, making a landing approach. The object did not respond to the "friend-foe" request and was not recorded in active mode. Just in case, they illuminated the landing pad and decided to identify the object visually with the help of searchlights.

By the sound of the approaching object, which resembled the "flight of a bumblebee", it became clear that it was not a helicopter. At the mark of 150 m, the searchlight was turned on by bearing on the target, but the beam rested on nothing - the object disappeared. This happened several more times. When all the trajectories of the unknown target were analyzed, it turned out that he repeated all six helicopter maneuvers that were practiced during the exercise. The direction-finding and tracking of the object were carried out by two ship radars tied to the shore and neighboring ships for three hours. Interference or errors are excluded.

d) invulnerability to conventional weapons

1966. The Black Sea. During a large-scale exercise on the Black Sea, a group of UFOs appeared at a very high altitude in the area of a cluster of ships and submarines. Objects moved randomly in the air. As the objects descended, their spherical and cigar-shaped shapes became visible. The exercise had to be interrupted. The order was given to destroy the UFO. But the shelling did not yield any results.

December 1984. Caspian Sea. In the area of Astrakhan, the air defense system detected a spherical object flying at an altitude of about 2,000 meters along the sea coast to the south. The object did not respond to the "friend-foe" request. Two fighters took to the air, but attempts to shoot down the balloon were unsuccessful. After the attack, the object dropped to a height of 100 m and became inaccessible to aircraft. The object's speed did not change. The balloon at a low altitude passed over several military units even managed to shoot it on film. On the approach to Krasnovodsk, the object was tried to shoot down from a helicopter, but it quickly went to an inaccessible height for the helicopter and hovered. After firing the ammunition, the helicopter began to descend, and the balloon abruptly went towards the sea and was lost both by radar and visually. A little later, the object in the form of a cylinder with rails at the bottom also demonstrated its invulnerability, while the speed of the UFO was only 100 km / h.

UFOs and USOs also have characteristic features that fundamentally distinguish them from well-known models of weapons and equipment:

e) the ability to transform and " mimicry"

In many cases, UFOs in the eyes of eyewitnesses changed their shape, color, hid behind the cloud formations created by them, or themselves turned into a cloud, acquired the color of the environment, became invisible, "dissolved" in the air.

1985 Atlantic Ocean, Bahamas. According to an employee of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the USSR Navy in 1970-80, Captain 1st rank Barclay I. M.: "We received information not only from the military but also from civilian ships. From the reports it followed that unidentified flying objects can change not only the geometry but also the size, stretching out in an elongated wide line or ellipse, circle, ball, sphere, up to a triangular shape. Here is just one characteristic report. The crew of a refrigerator truck with a displacement of 20 thousand tons when approaching Cuba observed a surprisingly colorful UFO. The object circled the ship several times, moved away and approached, changed color and shape-from a disk to a "triangle". The captain of the ship, Georgy Semyonovich Baranov, a very intelligent and creative person, gave the command to the crew: to fix the unusual phenomenon by all means. We tried to take pictures - nothing was possible. But there were several artists who so elegantly displayed this object, and in different angles, that it turned out better than the photos. These sketches with detailed descriptions were transferred to Moscow and were very valuable material for the investigation of such cases in the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the Navy."

September 12, 1985, Gulf of Finland. This is evidenced by the captain of the 3rd rank N. Demin an officer of the hydrographic service. Coastal surveillance services and ships at sea for almost two hours observed and "led" UFOs along the coast of Estonia from the traverse of Loks to the traverse of the northern cape of Hiiumaa Island. The object looked like a ball with one and three rays of blue color. Before disappearing at 23:20, the object looked like a glowing oval cloud.

Typical UFO forms observed over water areas.

August 28, 1989. The White Sea. The captain of the research vessel "Academician A. Krylov" and three crew members observed a UFO in the form of a"glowing cloud". It flew without smoke, plume, or noise from the south to the northeast, crossing the ship's course from right to left at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizon at the speed of an airplane. Through the binoculars, a neon light was flashing inside the object. After a while, the "flasher" separated from the cloud, fell behind for a considerable distance and went out. The original object moved away in the direction of the heading angle of 30 degrees to port.

e) the unusual characteristics of the movement

These include unconventional trajectories ("falling leaf", etc.), ultra-high speeds (up to 10.5 km / s) and accelerations (several hundred "g"), almost instantaneous turns of objects by 90 degrees or more at high speeds, hovering "on the edge", rapid vertical takeoff with the horizontal position of the object (at altitudes up to 70 km), etc.

1983. The Caspian Sea. Azhazha V. G. Veteran submarine, Doctor of Philosophy, President of AIPUFO: "The staff of the Institute of Physics of the Earth named after O. Y. Schmidt told me about the observations they made in the southern, very deep part of the Caspian Sea. A flying saucer flew out from under the water and then went into the water using the "falling leaf" method. At the moment when it tilted, bright light flashes were visible at its ends."

April 18, 1992. The sea of Okhotsk. Colonel M. Kovalkov from the headquarters of the association of Air Defense of the Far East testifies. During the flight in the area of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, 50 km ahead of the course, military pilots at an altitude of 11600 m observed a glowing ball. A dumbbell-shaped body flashed in the center of it: two flickering dots connected by a bright bridge. Suddenly, nine rays of different colors and different lengths simultaneously struck from the ball in different directions. The on-board locator, as well as the locators on the track, did not record the object. The connection worked without interference. For more than an hour, the UFO demonstrated "aerobatics" with an instant stop and hover. When approaching the city, he turned to the right and went deep into the mainland.

g) the unusual properties of the rays from the UFO

The rays coming from UFOs sometimes have a very unusual appearance and properties. This is a very high brightness (according to the power radiating installation must reach several Megawatts), and variable length of the rays, "is basically a telescoping" extension beams, hollow beams, dark beams, beams with "breathtaking" properties, etc.

According to the head of intelligence of the Northern Fleet flotilla, Captain 1st rank Berezhnoy V. E.: "In the incoming reports, observers noted that unidentified flying objects have the appearance not only of balls or glowing foggy areas but rather a clear man-made appearance: in the form of disks, balls, with bright lights around the perimeter. Sometimes, in the lower part of the objects, as if telescopic light rays were observed, which slowly moved out and also slowly retracted, went inside this UFO. Such objects were observed both over the ocean surface and over coastal objects."

August 26, 1975. Barents Sea, Motovsky Bay. According to the second commander of the nuclear submarine, Captain 1st rank Uraev A.: "The object in the form of an elongated ball to the bottom appeared below a solid cloud cover. First, he approached the civilian ships ahead of him on the course, left and right, and shone his beam on them. Then it flew up to us and hovered over the submarine at an altitude of 50-60 meters. In the distance, you could clearly see the multi-colored horizontal stripes, and at the top-a a bright triangular fire. The rays came from the lower, as if cut off, part. When it hung over the ship, its dark underside was clearly visible. Its diameter ranged from eight meters at the bottom to 15 meters at the top. It was necessary to evade its telescopic beam twice by changing the course of the submarine. After that, the object disappeared into the clouds."

September 1982 the Black sea, the Kerch. KGB General G. Alexandrovich told the famous test pilot Colonel of the Air Force Marina Popovich about this case. N. A group of KGB officers was fishing from a boat in the Kerch region. Suddenly, one of the five "fishermen" noticed an extra star in the constellation Ursa Major, which began to rapidly increase in size. It soon became apparent that it was spinning. When the object hovered over the water near the boat, it was possible to estimate its diameter-about 400 meters. From the UFO appeared three beams that " rotationally-corkscrew movement illuminated everything around and even touched the edge of the people on the boat. They were then removed, then moved again." The fishermen hurried to the island, where two people remained to prepare a fire and spend the night. The object accompanied them for a while, but as they approached the island, it began to shrink in size, rotating counterclockwise. In Moscow, eyewitnesses reported the incident to General G. Alexandrovich N., and he - to Yu. V. Andropov himself. "Fortunately, there was no negative impact on people. But the duration of the observation and the huge size of the UFO is an amazing fact, " concluded General G. Alexandrovich N.

Summer of 1986. The Baltic Sea. In the area of one of the naval bases, six submarine officers while fishing on a boat saw a UFO in the sky, which was not recorded on the onboard radar. A green beam came out of the object, illuminated the ship, and touched the hand of Yu. Kuchma. After this exposure, his arm went numb. The officer was dismissed on disability.

November 30, 1990. The Barents Sea. At 08.00 in the morning, many military personnel and employees of the naval base in West Africa observed the passage of the oval object. It flew silently from the eastern direction, gradually descending. In the area of the square near the House of Officers, it suddenly soared up, illuminating everyone with a light cone that did not reach the ground. An oval formed in the air, showing that it was hollow inside. After its disappearance, a greenish cloud remained for some time.

h) other unusual features

Some UFO sightings indicate that UFOs are capable of very strange behavior, for example, they can affect the psyche of people or project images similar to dynamic holograms.

November 1976 The Mediterranean Sea. The captain of the 3rd rank S. Antonov, the officer of the watch, testifies: "We surfaced off Gibraltar at two o'clock in the morning. On the left 10 degrees, the angle of the place 10 degrees saw a silver circle the size of the moon. The circle rose up quite quickly and at an angle of about 80 degrees, it was delayed. Soon, on the water in front of us, a huge convex GLOBE with the illumination of the Mediterranean Sea began to be visible. Moving ships were visible. The globe rotated, creating the illusion of our movement: Spain on the left, the "boot" of Italy is approaching, and here in Malta. It was as if they had highlighted our upcoming path. With that, the vision disappeared. The circle began to descend noticeably towards the Sahara and disappeared on the right 10, the angle of the place is 10 degrees. It was immediately dark."

Intelligent behavior of the UFO

An employee of the Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the USSR Navy in 1970-80, Captain 1st rank Barclay I. M.: "We have all the facts said that many unidentified flying objects of completely different geometries and shapes are not some kind of spontaneous creation of nature, but have a reasonable, deliberate technological nature."

The chief of intelligence of the Northern Fleet flotilla in the 1980s, Captain 1st rank Berezhnoy V. E.: "I, as the chief of intelligence of the flotilla, periodically received reports and reports of eyewitnesses about the discovery of unidentified objects. Many not only stated their observations literally minute by minute, second by second but also tried to draw, to portray what they saw. They talked about their feelings during the UFO sightings. There were a lot of messages. The fact that these objects are observed quite often and the way they behave in the area of the base of nuclear submarines, suggested that they are interested in our equipment and are not accidentally present over the training grounds. There were cases when UFOs hovered over a military town and directly over the latest submarines, accompanied them at the time of crossing the Motovsky Bay or in the Barents Sea."

Winter of 1978-79 the Barents Sea, Western Face Bay. Within a few months, at least fifteen cases of UFO sightings were registered in the area of the naval base of submarines. Among them: repeated flights and hovering of UFOs over the base and directly over submarines; escorting submarines at the entrance and exit from the Western Face Bay; demonstrative UFO dives into the water and emerges from the water; landing of UFOs on a small peninsula in the Bolshaya Lopatkina Bay opposite the headquarters of the association of submarines; splashdown of UFOs "with lights" on the island of Lake Shchuchye, etc. When, on the instructions and special permission of the flagship scout Captain 1st rank Berezhny V. E., professional photographers made attempts to photograph objects, the shots with UFOs turned out to be illuminated.

Captain of the 1st rank Berezhnoy V. E.: "We were faced with the task of collecting all information concerning UFOs and reporting to higher authorities. We could not help but notice that these objects in some cases behave like intelligently controlled objects, especially in relation to the latest submarines. We tried to understand what these UFOs could be attributed to, but in the end, our knowledge was not enough to make a final conclusion about the nature and origin of these unidentified flying objects."

Berezhnoy, V. T., captain 1st rank in 1970-80 intelligence chief flotilla of the Northern fleet.

Berezhnoy, V. T., captain 1st rank in 1970-80 intelligence chief flotilla of the Northern fleet.

The interest of UFOs in military equipment was also expressed in the fact that when a certain area of the ocean was declared closed for navigation in connection with the fall of the heads of launched intercontinental ballistic missiles, there appeared not only American ships, but also unidentified flying objects.

No less significant are the cases associated with diving into the ocean depths of bathyscaphes and special equipment.

So, the famous underwater explorer Jean Picard twice observed unknown underwater objects from his bathyscaphe. The first time was on November 15, 1959, during the dive of a research bathyscaphe in the deepest place of the World Ocean (Mariana Trench, near the island of Guam, Pacific Ocean). An entry was made in the logbook of the bathyscaphe: "10.57. depth of 700 fathoms [about one and a half kilometers]. We do not turn on the outdoor light, we reserve it for greater depths... A circular disc-shaped object with numerous luminous dots has been observed." The second time, Zh. Picard observed an unidentified underwater object in 1968 at a considerable depth in the Bahamas. The elliptical object, more than 30 m long, was moving at high speed.

September 1, 1968. The Pacific ocean. Soviet oceanologists on the research vessel of the USSR "Akademik Kurchatov" carried out work on the study of the composition of the bottom soil near the coast of South America. Periodically, scientists lowered overboard instruments and devices for research purposes. Thermometers, radiometers, plankton nets, and ground tubes were carried down on thick steel cables. And suddenly, when one of the instruments reached a depth of 500 m, the cable abruptly went to the side, as if someone had pulled it, and sagged. It became clear that the device had failed. A minute later, the thick cables with the ground tube and the dredger broke. The break of three cables at once - this has never happened in 20 years of sailing. The broken cables were hauled up to the deck. When they were examined, it turned out that the nature of the damage at the ends resembled a saw - as if someone sawed the cable with a huge file. Who could have done this? The oceanologists did not find an answer.

April 17, 1995. The Pacific Ocean, near the Mariana Trench (depth of about 11,000 meters). The unmanned deep-sea research platform of the United States, equipped with lighting devices and television systems, was immersed in the ocean on special steel cables with a diameter of 20 mm from the side of the research vessel. After a few hours, the silhouettes of large unidentified objects began to flash on the screens of television monitors in the light of powerful searchlights, and microphones began to transmit the sounds of grinding iron and thudding blows. When the platform was lifted to the surface of the ocean, it turned out that the structures providing rigidity were bent, and one of the steel cables was damaged by more than half the diameter. The nature of the damage indicates a cut with a metal object. The conducted examination showed that such a nature of abrasion when rubbing against a rock ledge is excluded.

Conclusion

It should be recognized that in the matter of studying UFOs and USOs, science has encountered a completely new phenomenon for it, which cannot yet be explained from the standpoint of our ingrained ideas. It's hard not to agree with the U.S. air force Academy that the scientific study of UFOs yet is hampered by limited knowledge of mankind in physics, and our current knowledge is unacceptable to the attainment of a UFO.

Tchernavin, V. N., Admiral of the fleet in the years 1985-92 Commander - in-Chief of the Navy-Deputy Minister of Defense of the USSR: "If we talk about UFOs and all sorts of unidentified objects, we can not from the standpoint of modern science, our current worldview, assess them as a normal phenomenon. This phenomenon is beyond our technical understanding. With the current development of technology, no one has such a thing, and it can not be. But that doesn't mean it can't happen at all."

What are the mysterious light and sound phenomena in the oceans, unidentified underwater and flying objects? Is there a relationship between them, or are they unrelated phenomena?

There are not so many versions.

First , the natural origin of many anomalous phenomena. This version is sufficiently reasoned and has the right to exist. At the same time, the hypothesis of "natural phenomena" can only apply to some observations, since it is not able to explain many features of USOs and UFOs. When considering the entire spectrum of AY in the hydrosphere, the hypotheses about luminous microorganisms and energy emissions, as a rule, do not stand up to criticism. The reasonable nature of the behavior of many mysterious objects also does not allow us to accept an exclusively "natural-natural" hypothesis.

Secondly, there is a fairly well-reasoned version that many UFOs and USOs are the product of the activities of some terrestrial groups that own technologies that the general public does not even suspect. For example, leading researcher of the Institute of USA and Canada, corresponding member of International Academy of Informatization V. Vasiliev, many years devoted to the study of these problems, I am convinced that in the US there is an elite that offers UFO information (including technological) in amounts that are orders of magnitude larger than the volumes available to the public ufologists. It is with the help of this group of scientists that politicians manipulate the consciousness of the broad masses, making attempts to covertly control scientific and technological progress in the world. However, this version also doesn't answer all the questions. For example, it is not able to explain the fact that flying and diving objects were observed by people many centuries ago and almost everywhere.

The opinion is expressed that in parallel to the "ground" civilization on our planet there is an ancient highly developed civilization, which does not particularly hide, but once again does not advertise its presence. And that it not only has long lived in underwater spaces and the air ocean but also has an exit to space. And that it is the manifestation of the activity of this civilization that we observe in the form of some anomalous phenomena and unidentified objects.

There is also a suggestion that extraterrestrial forces are behind the UFO and USO phenomena. The nature of the tasks they perform on our planet remains unknown, but it is possible that some of the manifestations are a kind of invitation for humanity to dialogue. Why is it done in such an extravagant way, and not through contacts with Earth governments? It's hard to say. It is assumed that such demonstrative steps are caused by the fact that the" extraterrestrial partners " are not satisfied with the already existing behind-the-scenes agreements with the secret elite of humanity and are increasingly declaring themselves publicly.

According to a number of experts, it is impossible to exclude another option: part of the manifestations of UFOs and USOs - a joint performance of two puppeteers-terrestrial and unearthly.

The game of "cat and mouse" using the phenomena of UFOs and USOs - the game is not only difficult but also dramatic. At least because we are in unequal conditions with our partner: he, apparently, knows much more about us than we do about him.

And yet, despite the fact that many questions about UFOs and USOs still remain unanswered, something can already be said for sure. So, for example, we do not yet observe direct violence against ourselves, suppression, the outright imposition of someone's will on us. Therefore, we can draw a hopeful conclusion: those who are behind these phenomena either do not yet have full power over people or do not want to use gross coercion or threats. Given that "they" possess technologies that Earth technology cannot resist, it seems that "they" do not yet have any intentions to exterminate humanity.

We know nothing for certain about the origin of these forces (terrestrial? extraterrestrial? inomeric?..), but we can assume that some of their manifestations are trying to influence our worldview in a certain way, to direct our views and beliefs in the right direction.

You can still guess for a long time about the nature of the phenomena of UFOs and USOs. Only one thing is clear: these amazing phenomena indicate that the world, which until recently seemed almost known to us, is opening up from a completely new side. Maybe these phenomena are signs that end the period of complete separation of humanity and begin the next stage of its evolution - a time when we will have a new consciousness, the integrity of the world, and inseparable from the infinite Universe Mind.
